every so often I fall into a deep and dark depression. usually it is after I've read more than a few cases in the news of the sad deaths of children at the hands of adults. you can read at least of one daily. and if you take into account the amount of random child murder that is caused by war - well then we are talking about many many many little children who never got the chance to experience the miracle of life as intended, because selfish, greedy, violent adults took it away. then if you add to that the numbers of child deaths by starvation and disease that can be attributed to greed, selfishness and violence it is no wonder, I realise, that I sink sometimes into deep despair.
i get very confused about life at those moments - because humans can be so so so amazing. so beautiful, so sharing, so caring, so downright heroic and yet so debased.
lately we have a father took his 2yr old and stabbed her to death to spite the mother, another dad threw his trusting 4yr old off a bridge to her death because he was pissed at the mother, another dad - seems there is a virtually endless stream of fathers who will kill their own children to spite their usually 'ex' partners and co-parent - took his child and gassed her to death in his vehicle - again to get back at the partner who rejected him.
makes you wonder...obviously...the women rejected these men because they were unfeeling, immature, violent, selfish mongrels - what else can you think of someone who will kill their own small child just to torture the mother!!! no wonder the woman wanted nothing to do with them!!! and they proved through their action toward their child just what sort of person they actually are - I'd want to get far away from them too!!!
but our law and law courts do not adequately protect women and children from violent, psycho men...women and children are forced by law and courts to remain available to psycho men. It is only after the fact that anyone else really knows what the women have been saying about and/or doing to escape the dangers of their 'ex' partners' psycho behaviour was feasible and justified.
but in this society and in many others, women and children are not protected. children are the least protected of all.
you might think, if you read my previous comments here that I think these things of all men...I dont. but I am might pissed at the cases the endless endless endless endless endless cases I read over and over and over again in the news of children murdered by fathers, children murdered in war, children murdered by mothers, grandparents, foster carers, random opportunistic child abusers
just read of mother who bashed and smothered her 3mth baby to death and then carried the body around, to hide it, for many hours - she killed the baby because it was crying. that's what babies do when they have needs, and they don't stop crying when they have selfish ignorant carers who don't tend to the baby's needs duh!!!!
now wonder I believe a person who commits a crime of violence or sexual perversion against a child should be IMPRISONED FOR LIFE!!!! NEVER to be set free to commit the same crime every again - I think that once a person has shown they have so little control and can be so dangerous then we the public have a right to be forever protected against that person
too many, annoyingly, too many times a person is let out of prison after 12, 15, 19, 22 yrs serving time for a violent crime and upon freedom they go and do it again!!!
my wisdom is that we just don't let them out - ever!!!! and that they WORK for their keep. I am so totally against prisoner rights for those who commit violent crimes against others. They gave up 'rights', I believe, when they harmed another person! EVERYONE has the right to be safe
I do not condone torture of any kind toward any living creature, including psycho killers. but we all need to be protected from them!!!!
when someone kills or permanently either physically or psychologically scars another person they I believe they should be jailed for life - NO PAROLE ever!!! they can't be trusted. I am personally not interested in 'rehabilitation' because it is too risky. A person who cannot control themselves at one point could snap again at another point.
a prisoner has rights to 3 square meals a day and a clean warm cot to sleep on, fresh air, natural light and work of some kind. It is wrong that the tax payer pays for 'privileges' for prisoners. Prisoners, imo, forfeited that right when they committed the violent crime.
Please note: I am only talking about violent crime and violent people. Other crime is debatable. theft can be seen as a result of socially constructed unjustified inequality due to greedy selfish people that exist in our weird societies of the world. drug use and abuse is only a crime because of political reasons and in my opinion should never have been made a crime in the first place and this is very obvious and so easy to see when you actually look at all the murder and violent crime that making it illegal has caused. making drugs illegal and then trying to prohibit them has made drugs a HUGE problem and filled jails to capacity and made criminals out of many people that actually needed help for other issues and self medicated with drugs instead
if there was social justice and equality and drug use was not seen as a criminal problem then our jails could be used for what they should be used for - to protect citizens, especially children, from violent offenders!!!
anyway that's my rant for the day - comes after being sick for weeks and sick and tired of reading more news stories about violence towards and murder of children
